Urban GAPS: Bridging the gap between action and reflection through urban service learning.
Youth or family groups work with established social agencies and faith based programs in Fort Worth.  These agencies allow youth to experience the daily circumstances of those in need; participants will be exposed to the complex issues surrounding poverty and will have opportunities to deepen their Christian understanding and responses.  Mission opportunities include interacting with "the least of these" through play group with children living homeless, distributing food, and spending quality time with people.
Cost: $25 per participant
Project Provides: Church mission staff and ministry interns provide orientation and debriefing.  Housing (church floor space), air mattresses, showers, a small kitchen are provided.
